- Abstract
- The main purpose of this paper is to examine the patterns of urban spatial structural changes, to forcast future spatial patterns, and to derive urban policy implication of Seoul metroplitan areas by analyzing journey-to-work O-D matrix between 1987 and 1990. The characteristics of dynamic spatial patterns can be summarized as decline of core-CBD & expansion of CBD, rapid growth/formation of subcenters, and emergency of some non-center areas. These spatial trends are expected to continue until post-suburbanization stage of urban development. This paper also provides some urban policy implications.
