다문화가정 청소년의 폭력피해 경험이 흡연 행동에 미치는 영향: 성별의 조절효과를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 다문화가정 청소년의 폭력피해 경험이 현재 흡연 행동에 미치는 영향과 이 관계에서 성별의 조절효과를 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 질병관리본부에서 시행한 청소년건강행태온라인조사의 원자료에 포함된 다문화가정 청소년 831명을 대상으로 폭력피해 경험과 흡연 행동의 관계 규명을 위한 로지스틱 회귀분석과 성별 차이 규명을 위한 상호작용 분석을 수행하였다. 분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화가정 청소년의 폭력피해 경험은 현재 흡연 행동에 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 폭력피해의 빈도가 높을수록 흡연 행동의 가능성이 더 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 폭력피해 경험과 흡연 행동의 관계에서 성별의 조절효과가 검증되었다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 토대로 다문화가정 청소년의 폭력피해 및 흡연 행동 문제에 개입하기 위한 실천적, 정책적 방안에 관하여 논의하였다.

This study aimed to examine the influence of violence victimization on smoking behavior among adolescents in multicultural families, and to investigate the moderating role of gender. For the purpose, using a sample of 831 multicultural adolescents from the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey, this study conducted logistic regressions on the influence of violence victimization on smoking behavior and interaction analyses on gender differences. The findings of this study are as follows. First, experiencing violence victimization was associated with higher likelihood of having smoking behavior. Second, experiencing more than three instance of violence victimization presented more harmful influence on smoking behavior. Third, the influence of violence victimization on smoking behavior were more pronounced for female adolescents than for male adolescents. Based on the findings of this study, it is suggested that practice and policy supports are needed to address violence victimization and smoking behavior among multicultural adolescents.
