- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs to develop natural English conversation database using voice-interface in smart phones and to explore pre-users needs in the learning contents of English conversation. The subjects of this study consist of 1063 adult pre-users all over the country. Research questions were developed as follows. 1. Have you ever experienced e-learning and m-learning using computers and smartifact? 2. What do you need about mobile applications for English conversation using voice-interface? 3. What learning contents of English conversation do you need? The results of this study are as follows: First, 70% of the subjects of this study have experienced e-learning and m-learning using computers and mobile devices. The most favorite function and the most frequently used functions were free of charge. Second, 80% of the subjects of this study wanted to use English conversation education applications. If a subscription-based service was offered, 50% of the subjects of this study would use it. Therefore, it is recommended to develop English conversation database for English conversation application using voice-interface.
