Abstract
This study investigated the social factor of pro sports relative area and MANOVA of 2 (items)× 4(region) was enforced and analyzed to study difference of recognition of spectator for relative community depending on item and region through increasing spectator of pro sports. For post verification, ANOVA was enforced to analyze the difference between groups and discriminant analysis was used to determine how significantly dependent variables contribute to discrimination among groups.1230 persons in 4 cities of Seoul, Daejeon , Daegu·Pohang and Gwangju were surveyed. The study showed following result. First, among the factors that pro sports industry affects the relative area depending on region and items of social factor of relative area, significant result was found in the factor of cultural resources. In the social factor of relative area of pro sports industry, regional development showed low difference between the items in Seoul and Daejeon. Second, the social factor of relative area depending on the region of pro sports industry showed difference in each region with respect to regional development. The result of social factor of relative area in each region showed higher social factor of relative area in local cities of Daejeon, Daegu·Pohang, Gwangju than large city like Seoul. Third, the social factor of relative area for items showed difference in environmental factor. Soccer showed value higher than that of baseball.
