- Abstract
- This article examines the existence of the first and second order investigation and trade diversion effects from anti-dumping (AD) petition initiations and provides rationales why such effects may arise. Contrary to the existing literature, our evidence points to the existence of the second order investigation effect in an industry where numerous AD petitions have occurred. We offer a psychological rationale for this seemingly counter-intuitive phenomenon. © 2004 Kluwer Law International.
