Abstract
A straight coupled transmission-line (SCTL) cell to generate standard EM fields with high field uniformity, broad-band frequency range, and high field generation compared with conventional double-port waveguides, is presented in this paper. An SCTL cell is designed by using the Newton-Raphson method mixed with the moment method (MM). Measured electric fields and higher order mode-resonant frequencies inside the designed SCTL cell agree well with the calculated results by the MM, and by the Galerkin method, respectively.
