Abstract
In this paper, we propose a simple (alignment-free) and low-cost microfabrication technique of dual opposite silver electrodes having each separated electrical contact pad inside a microchannel using multiphase laminar flow with density difference, without any photolithographical processes. The electrode patterns were realized by chemical deposition at the interface between a silver electroless plating solution and a reducer one. The gravitational force induced by the density difference of fluids causes the rotation of interface, thereby resulting in separated electrical contact pads. © 2008 CBMS.
