Abstract
This paper proposes an adaptive algorithm that controls power allocation for each antenna module in millimeterwave (mmWave) modular antenna array (MAA) systems. In the system, multiple MAA modules exist; and the proposed algorithm dynamically allocates powers to MAA modules depending on the buffer in terms of the joint optimization of energy-efficiency and buffer stability, in each unit time. Performance evaluation results show that the proposed algorithm (i) avoids buffer divergence; and (ii) presents energy efficiency improvements.
