사회수요맞춤형 교육과정 관점에서 바라본 태권도계열 학과(부) 교육과정 현황 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 사회수요맞춤형 관점에서 우리나라 태권도계열 대학 교육과정의 현황을 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 전국의 22개 태권도계열 학과 교육과정 현황을 살펴본 결과, 태권도 계열학과(부)에서 추구하고 있는 교육목표는 '태권도전문지도자 양성'이 대다수인 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 태권도전문지도자 양성이라는 교육목표 달성을 위한 학과부 전공교육과정을 살펴보면, 적지 않은 태권도계열 학과(부)의 교육과정이 사회수요맞춤형 교육과정으로 운영되기 어렵다고 볼 수 있다. 특히 태권도관련 전문 학과로 볼 수 있는 태권도 계열 학과(부) 교육과정이 특성화된 태권도 과목으로 개설되기 보다는, 기존의 체육학 세부 전공의 과목을 응용한 형태로 개설되고 있었다. 향후 태권도 공공기관이나 학회에서는 사회수요를 분석하고 이를 토대로 우리나라 태권도계열 학과(부)에서 벤치마킹할 수 있는 태권도 전문교육과정 기준을 개발하여 보급할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the current curriculum of Taekwondo Department in terms of societal need based curriculum. According to the analysis of 22 Taekwondo Department in Korea, it was indicated that the representative educational goal in these departments was professional leaders in Taekwondo. However, it was found that most of courses in Taekwondo department were not related to Taekwondo, even if the goal was to develop Taekwondo leaders. It means that most of Taekwondo departments did not implement societal-need based curriculum and did not provide specialized courses in Taekwondo. In other words, most of opened courses in Taewkondo department were Kinesiology-relevant courses, not tailored Taekwondo. In the future, Takewondo-relevant organizations or associations should develop professional curriculum standards that could apply to Takewond department in Korean Universities after the analysis of societal needs.
