몰입감을 중점으로 한 HMD 발전동향

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss the development trend of HMD used in immersive virtual reality and the relationship between human senses and immersion. To enhance user immersion, technological investments and new technologies are being explored in the areas such as displays, viewing angles, and tracking. With the improvement of the optical system, it is necessary to enhance the immersion feeling of the HMD by increasing the sharpness of the image through the lens suitable for the eye condition of the user. This paper examines why optical system development is important in the trend of HMD focusing on immersion feeling. We also discuss (i) the relationship between HMD and immersion feeling, (ii) development trend of hardware which is the main factor of HMD immersion, and (iii) lens development status and its importance.
