Abstract
This paper provides available information for partial replacement repairing method of the aged steel box-girder bridge and its applicability in site. Safety and weldilability of repair welded joints between the aged and the new steel plates are key factor regarding reliability of the repair method. The tensile and the fatigue tests of the repair welded joints for SWS41(aged steel)-SM400B(new steel) and SWS41-SM490B(new steel) are achieved. The tensile and fatigue performances of the repair welded joints shows enough capacities as a structural connection as well as properly applicability to the aged steel box-girder bridge.
