한･중･일 상호 문화의 차이에 대한 드라마 가족서사분석 - <꽃보다 남자>의 재제작 판을 중심으로 -

Abstract

본 연구는 한･중･일에서 인기를 얻었던 드라마 <꽃보다 남자>의 각국별 재제작 판에서 가족서사를중심으로 드러나는 문화적 차이를 살펴보았다. <꽃보다 남자>는 빈부 격차가 현격한 두 가족을 배경으로자녀들의 사랑 이야기가 전개되기 때문에 물질적 가치를 둘러싼 문화적 차이가 묘사될 것으로 기대하였다. 연구 방법은 이야기 전체의 흐름을 따라가는 통합체 분석과 대립적인 관계를 조명하는 계열체 분석을이용하였다. 분석 결과, 가족서사에 표현된 부유층과 서민층의 간극은 한국판에서 가장 크고, 일본판과중국판의 순서대로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 간극의 차이는 부유층과 서민층의 욕망이 충돌하는정도나 계층 상승의 장벽이 묘사되는 문화적 현상의 차별화로 표출되었다. 본 연구는 <꽃보다 남자>와같이 동일한 이야기의 재제작 판이 한･중･일 삼국 간의 문화적 동질성과 차별성을 비교하고 이해하는질료를 제공함을 보여준다.

This study examined the cultural differences revealed in family narratives of the reproduction versions of <Boys Over Flowers>, which was popular in Korea, China and Japan. We expected that cultural differences relative to material values will be portrayed through <Boys Over Flowers> because the love story of young people develops within the background of two families whose gap between rich and poor is remarkable. The research method employed were both the integrated analysis that followed the whole story and the sequential analysis which focused on the opposing relationship. The results show that the gap between the rich and poor family narrative structure is the largest in the Korean version, and decreases in the order of the Japanese and the Chinese version. The gaps were expressed by the different cultural phenomenon depicting the degree of conflict between the rich and poor people 's desires and the barrier against mobility to the upper class. This study shows that the remakes of the same story, such as “Boys Over Flowers,” provides the foundation that we can compare and understand cultural homogeneity and differentiation between the three countries.
