국가직무능력표준으로 바라본 태권도계열 대학교육과정에 대한 학부생의 인식 및 요구조사

Abstract

태권도의 세계적인 발전과 올림픽 정식종목 채택을 시작으로 국내 많은 대학에서 태권도 관련학과가 개설되어 있다. 태권도 전공 학생들의 올바른 진로선택과 진로설계를 위해서 태권도 계열학과 교육과정은 태권도 진로분야와 연계되어야 한다. 국가에서는 대학 교육과정과 산업현장과의 불일치 현상을 해소하기 위해 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 개발하여 대학의 교육과정 개혁 노력에 박차를 기울여 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 NCS관점에서 태권도계열 대학교육과정의 개선방안을 모색하기 위해 태권도계열 학부생들의 인식과 요구를 조사하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 전국 5개 권역 총 9개 대학 10개 학과의 4학년 재학생 289명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 설문지는 총 22문항으로, 태권도 계열학과 교육과정 구성, 교육목표, 교육과정 내용, NCS기반 태권도 계열학과 교육과정과 관련된 문항으로 구성되었다. 설문지의 각 항목별 문항들의 분포를 분석하기 위해서 단순빈도분포와 백분율을 계산하여 설문지에 대한 응답의 일반적인 성향을 살펴보았다. 학부생들은 우리나라 태권도계열 대학 교육과정이 추구하는 목표와 자신의 미래진로분야로 태권도지도자양성을 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 현재 태권도계열 대학의 교육내용은 진로취업과의 연계성이 높지 않으며 그로 인해 학부생들은 취업직무능력을 충분히 갖추지 못하고 있다고 인식하고 있었다. 따라서 학부생들은 태권도 산업현장과의 연계성이 높은 실무과목의 개설 증가와 태권도계열 대학의 세부 전공이 더욱 구체화되기를 요구하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 현장실습이 모든 학부생들에게 반드시 필요하며 현장실습의 기회가 더욱 확대되기를 요구하였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 향후 태권도계열 대학의 교육과정이 국가사회적 변화와 교육수요자의 요구를 적극 수용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

This paper was designed to investigate undergraduate students’ perception and needs for Taekwondo curriculum in higher education in terms of NCS, in order to solve the job mismatched phenomenon after graduation. A survey was conducted with 289 fourth-year undergraduate students of 9 universities. A questionnaire was consisted of 29 questions including curriculum composition, educational objective, and curriculum content as well as NCS-based curriculum of Taekwondo-affiliated departments. The simple frequency analysis and percentage was used to analyze each items and identify students’ general tendency for the questionnaire. At the results, students have perceived Taekwondo' educational leaders as the most important objective and also their future career or job. However, Taekwondo curriculum in higher education is not highly relevant to job market. Due to this reason, undergraduates have perceived they did not have enough job competency. Thus, they have demanded the increase of practice courses relevant to job market in Taekwondo and also the special major track in department of Taekwondo in Korean universities. Additionally, they have asked practicum should be required and expanded in Department of Taekwondo in Korea. Furthermore, this paper will be used to meet the needs of educational consumers as well as the national and societal change
