- Abstract
- We experimentally demonstrate polarization-independent Brillouin optical correlation domain analysis based on conventional single-mode fiber. The Brillouin gain and loss on orthogonally-polarized probe waves are simultaneously measured and their difference is processed by lock-in detection for suppressing the polarization-dependency of signal amplitude, doubling the measurement speed. © 2021 IEEE.
