- Abstract
- Most Korean people have fear for and anxiety about Covid-19 due to the implementation of With-Corona, the spread of Omicron, which is a mutant virus and the explosion of confirmed cases, but there are some, who are optimistic about Covid-19 and this is why work and leisure balance is not properly maintained. Therefore, for examining the present status of work and leisure balance in the Covid-19 situation, this study conducted frequency analysis, descriptive statistic analysis and One-way ANOVA using SPSS 25.0, targeting 533 Korean people aged 20 to 65. The study result displayed that there were significant differences in work, and leisure fear and anxiety when analyzing differences in optimism, work, and leisure fear and anxiety depending on work and life balance. Therefore, it is considered that workers need to reduce fear for and anxiety about Covid-19 by maintaining a proper balance between work and leisure at home, as the homeworking system is being implemented again.
Moreover, fear and anxiety is rising in the situation that people cannot meet close acquaintances as part of personal leisure activities due to the Covid-19, and this makes them fail to strike a balance between work and leisure properly. This implies that there is a need for active efforts to develop methods of encouraging people to participate in diverse leisure activities.
