Abstract
Cross-coupling reactions of arenesulfonates with alkyl Grignard reagents produced unsymmetrical oligophenyl derivatives, which are of great interest due to their biological and optical properties. Nickel/N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complex efficiently catalyzed the reaction to undergo with small amounts of alkyl Grignard reagents at room temperature.
