- Abstract
- The currently widely used transmission protocol is the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), which is designed to prevent network congestion and provide stable packet transmission and transmission rate control. In TCP communication, according to network congestion, the sending side responds to congestion by limiting the transmission rate within a unit time. Accordingly, various congestion control algorithms have been proposed to improve the throughput and latency of various networks. In this paper, we propose a method of controlling the congestion window (CWND) that can adjust the traffic transmission rate of the TCP transmitting side in the 5G mmWave band network that has been commercialized and operated. To this end, we developed an algorithm that can recognize network failures that may occur in millimeter wave characteristics and adjust CWND accordingly. In the final algorithm performance evaluation stage, the data throughput are improved. © 2022 IEEE.
