- Abstract
- This paper reports a novel method for the highly sensitive cancer marker detection using a gold-patterned microarray chip and a surface-enhanced Raman scattering imaging (SERSi). In this work, we designed and fabricated a conceptually new gold-patterened glass microarray chip. Here, gold patterned hydrophilic spots are completely isolated from hydrophobic surfaces, and the hydrophobic/hydrophilic hybrid property of the microarrays greatly improves the biomolecule deposition, spot uniformity, replication, and reproducibility. This gold-patterned microarray chp has been successfully used for a highly sensitive cancer marker detection. © 2009 CBMS.
