- Abstract
- Shape optimization of high voltage direct current (HVDC) joint using shape design sensitivity analysis considering nonlinear conductivity is presented in this paper. The electric field distribution of HVDC devices is a resistive field. Also, the nonlinear conductivity is expressed in terms of the temperature and electric field distribution. In this paper, the shape design sensitivity formula is derived, and a conductor geometry for relaxing the concentration of electric field is presented using design sensitivity analysis. ©2006 IEEE.
