Abstract
In this paper, a method to determine optimal individual patch antenna locations in a finite planar array is presented. The radiation patterns of the individual antenna in the array are determined for a restricted range of patch locations relative to the array substrate edge and the neighboring antennae. A polynomial interpolation function is utilized to map the geometry variables of each antennae to the corresponding radiation pattern. ©2006 IEEE.
