Abstract
The internal stress state of deep beam can be represented by strut-and-tie models of compression struts between the loading points and the supports. In the modeling, the effective strength factor stands for the magnitude of the strength deterioration of compression strut due to the effect of cracking and softening. The objective of this study is to quantitatively evaluate the effective strength factor of concrete strut in reinforced concrete deep beam without shear reinforcements for various variables.
