- Abstract
- The purpose of this research was to synthesize the effects of engineering ethics education. This meta-analysis analyzed 10 studies and calculated the Hedge's g effect size. The overall effect size and subgroup effect sizes were calculated using a random effect model. The overall effect size of engineering ethics education was medium positively. Among the outcomes of engineering ethics education, the effect sizes related to engineer's code and knowledge were large, and the effect sizes related to decision making, ethical sensitivity and moral reasoning were medium. The studies on engineering ethics education tended not to report the detailed information about the instruction methods. The implications and limitation were discussed.
