- Abstract
- A beam alignment problem is considered in this paper for the mm-Wave communication system with transmit-receive (Tx-Rx) beam-forming antennas. To avoid the power loss in the received signal due to behavioral change (rotation, displacement) an efficient beam tracking technique is preferred to identify the cause of beam error using micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) motion sensors. The motion sensor are composed of an attitude heading reference system (AHRS), which estimates rotation angle, and Zero Velocity Detector method, which detects whether the device moves or not. The performance of MEMS motion sensors is evaluated by simulation in typical scenarios for beam tracking.
