청소년의 자아존중감과 그릿의 관계에서 부모의 긍정적 양육태도의 조절효과

Abstract

본 연구는 청소년의 자아존중감이 그릿에 미치는 영향에서 청소년이 지각한 부모의 긍정적 양육태도의 조절효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 한국청소년정책연구원이 실시한 ⌜한국아동·청소년패널조사(KCYPS 2018)⌟ 의 중학교 1학년 패널의 4차년도(2021) 데이터를 활용하여 총 2,247명의 고등학생 1학년으로, 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하였으며 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 자아존중감은 청소년 그릿에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년이 지각한 부모의 긍정적 양육태도는 청소년의 그릿에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 청소년의 자아존중감과 그릿의 관계에서 청소년이 지각한 부모의 긍정적 양육태도의 조절효과가 나타났다. 즉, 청소년이 부모의 긍정적 양육태도를 지각하는 수준이 높을수록 청소년의 자아존중감과 그릿의 관계에서 그릿의 기울기가 더 높아져 강화효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 청소년, 특히 고등학생에게 있어 부모의 지속적인 관심과 피드백이 중요함을 시사하고, 부모의 양육태도가 청소년의 자아존중감과 그릿의 관계에서 강화효과가 발생하는 변인임을 확인하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effect of high school students' perceived positive parenting attitudes on the effect of adolescents' self-esteem on grit. Using data from the fourth year (2021) of the Korean Child and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS 2018) conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Research Institute, a total of 2,247 high school freshmen were studied using hierarchical regression analysis, and the main findings of the study are as follows. First, adolescents' self-esteem has a static effect on adolescent grit. Second, adolescents' perceived positive parenting has a static effect on adolescent grit. Third, there was a moderating effect of adolescents' perceived parental positive parenting on the relationship between adolescents' self-esteem and grit, i.e., the higher the level of adolescents' perceived parental positive parenting, the higher the slope of grit in the relationship between adolescents' self-esteem and grit, which had a reinforcing effect. The significance of this study is that it suggests the importance of continuous attention and feedback from parents for adolescents, especially high school students, and confirms that parenting attitudes are a moderating variable in the relationship between adolescents' self-esteem and grit.
