dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to investigate Anisakis simplex infection degree in sea fishes. Forty-two squids(Todordes pacificus), 21 belt fishes(Trichiurus lepturus), and 48 mackerels (Scomber japonicus) were collected from sushi bats, wholesale and retail markets. Fourteen of 42 squids from retail markets were infected 4th 3rd stage larvae of Anisakis simplex. The infection rare of belt fishes collected from wholesale and retail markets showed 22.8% and 74.2% respectively. Pony-one of 48 mackerels were severely infected with 3rd stage larvae, Anisakis simplex is identified as the prevalent helminth pathogen in squid, belt fish, and mackerel which is the common fish protein source.-
