- Abstract
- This study investigated measures to improve the efficiency of initial scheduling by building various scheduling model databases and computerizing the initial schedule preparation process. This study defined a code system for work classification, calendar types, and activities required for initial scheduling, and developed a field-friendly initial scheduling system that can automatically generate activities and calculate quantities. The system was designed to work with the Primavera commercial schedule management software, to improve its efficiency in schedule management. Through the validation process, the study found that the automated system improved productivity in initial scheduling by 40.31%, freeing schedule engineers from rudimentary tasks while giving them more time to focus on schedule control.
