Abstract
We demonstrate for the first time the use of phage display for identification and selection of novel peptides that are capable of binding to procalcitonin. The best peptide specific for procalcitonin has an amino acid sequence of 'MSCAGHMCTRFV' and the binding affinity was observed with a nanomolar binding. © The Royal Society of Chemistry.
