디지털 리터러시 교육경험에 대한 대학생의 인식 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 대학생의 디지털 리터러시 교육경험에 대한 인식을 분석하여 디지털 리터러시를 증진시키기 위한 대학교육의 방향을 제언하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2015년에 서울소재 C 대학의 재학생 854명을 대상으로 학습 목적의 디지털 기기 활용 경험, 디지털 기기를 활용한 학습참여의 중요성 인식, 디지털 리터러시 관련 교육과정 인식, 과목 개설 만족도, 디지털 리터러시 교과목 개설 내용 요구조사 및 분석 등을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 디지털 기기를 활용한 학습참여 중요성 인식에서 전반적인 교육 활동에 중요성을 인지하고 있었다. 둘째, 대학 교육과정에 디지털 리터러시를 높일 수 있는 과정 개설이 보다 필요한 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 디지털 리터러시 증진을 위해 교과목 내용으로 프로그래밍 교육에 대한 요구가 가장 높았다. 이상의 분석을 바탕으로 대학에서 디지털 리터러시 향상에 보다 적극적으로 대응할 수 있는 전략적 시사점을 제안하였다.

The goal of this study is to propose practical approaches for enhancing college students' digital literacy through analyzing their educational experiences while in college. This study is based on responses from a total of 854 students attending a university in 2015 were analyzed for the purpose of understanding their experiences on using digital technologies for learning, learning engagement using digital technologies, curriculum relative to digital literacy skills, satisfaction with courses integrating digital literacy skills, and expected contents of the courses. The findings are the following. First, students recognize the importance of educational activities using digital devices in most academic activities. Second, they thought that more courses need to be made in order to enhance digital literacy. Third, programming courses are expected to be available more. Based on these findings, several implications for educators are proposed to actively deal with the needs of enhancing digital literacy.
