Abstract
본 연구는 대안교육센터에서 지도를 받는 위기청소년들을 대상으로 그들이 인식하는 신체활동의 의미를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 연구목적 달성을 위해 한국 법무부에서 특별처분 선고를 받아 대안교육센터에서 지도를 받는 위기청소년 12명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 연구를 위해 먼저 법무부에 승인을 얻고 참여자에게 연구의 목적과 취지를 밝힌 후 서면으로 동의를 구하였다. 본 연구는 심층면담으로 자료를 수집하였으며, 1회 30~50분으로 개인당 2~3회 이루어 졌다. 연구 자료의 신뢰성과 타당성을 검증하기 위해 구성원 간 검토(member check), 동료 검토(peer examination), 삼각 검증법(triangulation) 등의 과정을 거쳐 자료를 처리하였다. 또한, 본 연구자들 중에 대안교육센터에서 체육교사로 근무하면서 이 연구를 수행하기 위한 직접적인 관찰자의 역할을 하며 대상과 라포(rapport)를 형성하기 위해 노력하였다. 이러한 일련의 과정을 통하여 도출된 위기청소년들이 인식하는 신체활동의 의미는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, 신체활동을 통한 공격성 완화, 둘째, 신체활동을 통한 통제력 향상, 셋째, 신체활동을 통한 성취감, 넷째, 향상된 사회적 관계로 나타났다. 이러한 결과로 위기청소년에게 신체활동 참여 의미를 파악 할 수 있었으며, 이는 체계적인 신체활동 프로그램을 제공하여 위기청소년의 사회적응을 위한 대안교육센터 프로그램 구성의 방향 설정기여에 이바지 할 수 있을 것으로 기대 한다.
The purpose of this study is to recognize the reason why at-risk youths actually do physical activity through exploration of physical activity meaning. To accomplish the purpose of this study, open-questionnaires were sent to 404 at-risk youths suspended by court, prosecution and school and transferred to the alternative education center in Seoul and Gyeonggi, Inchon province. For better quality of the analysis result, we could get deeper material through in-depth interviews on 12 at-risk students. As a result, we got these conclusion. First, the tendency for at-risk youths was uncontrolled when they get stressed or angry. There were some students who solve the problem by exercise but uncontrolled and aggressive students didn't know how to solve the problem or resolved it improperly. Second, the most basic reason why at-risk youths do physical activity was that their own personality was very active and sought the kinetic movement. Another reason was for their own health, entering university, spare time, and etc. The positive changes of at-risk youths were good health, mental health, and improvement of their friendship after the physical activity. On the other hand, an increase in aggression was negative change. Third, most of the at-risk youths were bored with just straying in the classroom and they wanted to know new things through the physical program like learning new exercise with active and interesting friends. Fourth, as a result of the interview with teachers, they were positive with the physical activity and wanted to arouse at-risk students' cooperative spirit and let them feel unity. More over, teachers wanted at-risk youths to be mentally stabilized through meditation. The teachers also emphasized that the time for physical activity should be increased and required that the policy is nationally made to increase the physical equipment and time.
