유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 부부갈등, 우울, 양육스트레스와 양육행동의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 양육하고 있는 어머니를 대상으로 부부갈등과 우울, 양육스트레스, 양육행동의 관련성을 살펴보았다. 한국아동패널(PSKC) 5차년도 자료를 사용하여 부부갈등과 우울, 양육스트레스, 양육행동의 구조방정식 모형을 검증하였다. 본 연구의 자료 분석 결과, 부부갈등은 우울과 양육스트레스에 직접적인 영향을미치고, 우울은 양육스트레스와 양육행동에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 양육스트레스는 양육행동에 강한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 부부갈등은 양육행동에 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 않았다. 구조모형 분석 결과를 살펴보면, 부부갈등은 양육행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았으나, 어머니의 우울과 양육스트레스를 통해 양육행동에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 부모의 부부갈등과 우울이 양육스트레스를 통해 양육행동에 영향을 미친다는 것을 밝힘으로써 부모의 부부갈등과 우울, 양육행동의 관련성에서 양육스트레스의 매개효과를 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among marital conflict, depression, parenting stress, and parenting behavior of mothers. The data from mothers of 1703 4-year-old children participating in the Panel Study of Korean Children was analyzed. Findings of this study from structural equation modeling analysis indicated that marital conflict was associated positively to depression of mothers. Depression significantly predicted parenting stress and parenting behavior. Parenting stress had a strong effect on parenting behavior. This study showed that depression mediated the relationships between marital conflict and parenting stress. The relationships between marital conflict and parenting behavior were mediated by depression and parenting stress.
