밧줄을 이용한 숲 체험 활동이 유아의 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 밧줄을 이용한 숲 체험 활동을 구성하고 이를 유치원 현장에 적용한 후 유아의 친사회적 행동에 어떠한 효과가 있는지를 알아보는 것이다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 위해 경기도에 위치한 G병설유치원과 D병설유치원 만 4세 유아 44명(실험집단 22명, 비교집단 22명)을 대상으로 실험연구를 실시하였다. 실험집단 유아들에게 10주 동안 주 1회씩 밧줄을 이용한 숲 체험 활동을 실시하였고, 비교집단 유아들에게는 자유놀이 중심의 숲 체험 활동을 실시하여 실험처치 전후에 실험집단과 비교집단을 대상으로 친사회적 행동 검사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료들은 사전 검사를 공변인으로 한 공변량 분석(ANCOVA: analysis of covariance)을 실시하였다. 밧줄을 이용한 숲 체험 활동을 실시한 이후에 유아의 친사회적 행동 점수를 분석한 결과 실험집단의 친사회적 행동 점수가 비교집단 보다 높게 나타났다. 하위요인을 살펴보면 지도성, 도움주기, 의사소통, 주도적 배려, 접근 시도하기, 나누기, 감정이입 및 조절에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the forest experience and rope activities on young children’s prosocial behavior. To conduct this research, 44 kindergarteners (22 children per group), aged four years, from G and D preschools in Gyeonggi-do participated in this study. The experiment was implemented once a week for 10 weeks from April 2nd to June 4th. A prosocial behavior test was conducted prior to and after intervention. Data were analyzed through SPSS 19.0 and analysis of covariance. The results of this study were as follow. First, the forest experience activity had a significant impact on children’s prosocial behavior. Second, there was a significant different between the treatment and the control groups in terms of leadership, helping behavior, communication, initiative, approaching behavior, sharing behavior, empathy, and control of emotions.
