흡연량과 정신건강과의 관계

Abstract

본 연구는 흡연량과 정신건강과의 관계를 알아봄으로써 흡연량 관리 프로그램의 개발 필요성을 확인하는 기초 자료를 마련하 고자 하였다. 연구 대상자는 국민건강영양조사 5기 1~3차년도(2010~2012년)와 6기 1~2차년도(2013~2014년) 총 41,102명 중 평소 스 트레스 인지정도, 2주 이상 연속 우울감 여부, 1년간 자살생각여부 중 단 한 개라도 누락이 있거나 ‘모름’으로 응답한 대상자를 제외한 19세 이상 성인 22,923명을 최종 분석 대상자로 선정하였다. 분석은 SAS 9.4 Program을 이용하였으며 흡연량에 따른 종속 변수와의 교차분석에서 통계적 유의성이 있었고, 로지스틱 회귀분석에서 하루 20개피 이상 흡연 집단이 비흡연 집단에 비해 모든 종속변수의 발생 확률이 높은 것으로 나타났다(평소 스트레스 인지정도: Odds ratio 1.938, 95% CI [1.721, 2.181], p<.0001, 2주 이 상 우울감: Odds ratio 1.666, 95% CI [1.406, 1.975], p<.0191, 자살 생각 여부: Odds ratio 2.028, 95% CI [1.714, 2.399], p<.0001). 이 를 통해 흡연량을 일정량 이하로 관리할 수 있는 프로그램의 개발과 운영이 필요함을 제언한다.

This study investigated the association between smoking amount and mental health to figure out the necessity of developing the program for smoking amount management. We analyzed the data from Korea national health and nutrition examination survey(KNHANES V-VI) conducted from 2010 to 2014. The subjects who answered the survey were total 41,102. But, 22,923 cases were included for the analysis except for subjects who not answered or answered “Unknown” for the stress recognition, depression status for over 2 weeks and whether suicide thought. Data were analyzed using SAS 9.4 version. The statistically significant difference between smoking amount and the dependent variables were found. And it was found that mental health and smoking amount is statistics meaning(stress recognition: Odds ratio 1.938, 95% CI [1.721, 2.181], p<.0001, depression status for over 2 weeks: Odds ratio 1.666, 95% CI [1.406, 1.975], p<.0191, whether of suicide thought: Odds ratio 2.028, 95% CI [1.714, 2.399], p<.0001). Therefore, we strongly suggest that it is necessary to establish and maintain the program for smoking amount management.
