Abstract
본 연구는 유아 다문화교육에 대한 유아교사들의 인식과 실태를 분석하는데 있다. 본 연구대상은 유치원과 어린이집에 재직 중인 교사 362명이었다. 유아 다문화교육에 대한 교사의 인식과 실태를 파악하기 위해 문헌분석 및 전문가 협의 등을 통해 ‘다문화교육 인식’, ‘다문화교육 실태’의 2개 영역으로 구분하고 총 17문항의 설문지를 개발하였다. 개발된 설문지를 연구대상에게 배부하고 회수하여 연구 자료를 수집하고, 수집된 자료는 x2-검증을 통해 집단 간의 차이를 분석하였다. 분석결과 유아 다문화교육에 대한 유아 교사의 인식과 실태는 교사의 배경 변인에 따라 부분적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the status and early childhood teachers’ awareness of multicultural education for young children and discuss how to promote the efficiency of multicultural education for young children. A questionnaire was developed based on prior literature, research, and arrangements with early childhood professionals. The questionnaire is composed of two items of 17 questions related to ‘general awareness of multicultural education for young children’ and status of multicultural education for young children. The subjects in this study were 362 kindergarten teachers. Data analysis was conducted by χ2-test. The results of this study indicated that there were partially significant differences among the groups in the status and teachers’ awareness of multicultural education for young children. Finally, the ways to promote efficiency of multicultural education for young children were discussed in this study.
