- Abstract
- Today, young people are enthusiastic about Electronic Dance Music (EDM) based performance. As an image being shown on backstage where Dj is performing is recently classified as a genre of Vjing, it has been settled down as a performance. However, due to features of genre that is required to concentrate attention of the audience in a short time, Vjing performance that relies on v isual stimulation only is prevailing at present. This phenomenon is attributable to unbalance that is taken place as Vjing performance is rapidly settled down as an art genre while basic education and theoretical background of Vjing are not researched systematically. Temporal limitation of Vjing image is quite considerable as it employs a momentary time compared with other genre. As so, it is required to carefully select and utilize visual elements comprising an image so that a message through an image could be efficiently delivered within a short period of time. In this study, in order to select and utilize visual components properly, A method of delivering audio-visual message effectively was suggested by structurally coinciding visual tension with auditory one through a principle of contrast and similarity using visual components. ©2016 International Information Institute.
