Abstract
Hg2+-benzo[g]quinazoline-2,4-(1H,3H)-dione (Hg2+-1) complex, a fluorescent chemosensor for thymidine nucleotides, was prepared by mixing benzo[g]quinazoline-2,4-(1H,3H)-dione (1, 5 mu M) and Hg2+ (20 mu M) in borate buffer at pH 8.0. The chemosensor exhibited high selectivity for thymidine nucleotides over other nucleotides and had high sensitivity for thymidine nucleotides in several mu M ranges. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd.
