- Abstract
- In this study, we present that the common denominators of the Japanese "-te-simau" sentence and the Korean "-eo-beorida" sentence and the "-go-malda" sentence are the bi-clause in the deep structure as well as the modality which is opposed to the speaker's expectancy. And the common denominators are the cause of the one-to-two surface corresponding relationship between Japanese and Korean. Also, we present the following linking relationship. "Bi-clause structure of the deep level → Raising structure of the derivation level → Mono-clause structure of the surface level Telic of the semantics level". The relationship suggests a universal linking relationship among the deep structure, derivation structure, surface structure, and semantics of the Japanese and Korean auxiliary verb sentences. © 2017 International Information Institute.
