하버마스의 합리론적 생활세계 개념에 대한 공감이론적 재조명

Abstract

하버마스는 생활세계에 내재한 행위조정원리를 소통 합리성에 입각하여 포착하기 때문에 언어적 화행 외에 생활세계를 관통하는 다양한 규범 준거와 생활세계의 보다 많은 역할을 시야에서 놓치고 있다. 이 연구가 공감이론적 차원에서 생활세계를 재조명하려는 이유는 첫째, 이성과 합리성의 차원에서만 생활세계를 조명함으로써 놓치고 있는 사회적 행위와 생활세계의 연관을 보다 적실성 있게 파악하고, 생활세계의 비언어적 역할을 이해할 필요가 있기 때문이다. 둘째, 소통 합리성 외에 규범적 차원에 기초한 신뢰나 호혜성의 증진 등 사회적 공감 차원에서 생활세계의 역할을 재조명할 필요가 있기 때문이다. 향후 생활세계 연구는 기존 소통합리성에 기초한 해석에 더해 감성과 공감의 영역까지 확장하여 제대로 그 작용과 역할을 파악하는 것이 필요하다.

Because Habermas approaches the principle of action adjustment inherent in the life world only with communicative rationality, he misses the various norms that penetrate the life world other than speech act and the non-linguistic role of the life world. The reason this study intends to re-examine the life world from the perspective of empathetic theory is as follows. First, it is necessary to understand social actions that cannot be captured by illuminating the life world only in the dimension of reason and rationality, and to understand the non-linguistic role of the life world. Second, in addition to communicative rationality, it is necessary to re-examine the role of the life world in terms of enhancing trust and reciprocity based on normative dimensions of social empathy. In the future, it is necessary to expand the study of the life world to the realm of communication between reason and emotion to properly understand its operation and role.
