dc.description.abstract | In this study, the effect of radiator cooling according to the vertical–horizontal fan arrangement and fan performance was analyzed. Computational results and experimental data were compared to prove the validity of the computational fluid dynamics analysis method used in the study. The heat dissipation was affected by the collision effect of the fluid flows from the cooling fans. The newly created flows from the collision of the fluid flows occurred most in the S2B1 layout, and thus, the largest heat dissipation occurred in the S2B1 layout. The cooling efficiency was reviewed using the FOM formula. When the fan model was included in the S2B1 layout, the heat dissipation reduced by 5.38% compared to the conventional layout, but the cooling efficiency increased by 32.18%. As a result, the newly proposed S2B1 layout exhibited an improved cooling performance and efficiency. | - |
