dc.description.abstractAustenitizing and quenching are performed to obtain the desired microstructure and mechanical quality by heat treatment. In this process, when the temperature difference between the surface and the center of the product increases, problems such as creep and residual austenite occur. In this study, a CFD analysis model was developed to determine the adaptive operating environment that minimizes temperature deviation. The model was verified for validity according to the experimental results, with an error of <3%. Moreover, the internal flow field based on the product location, the difference in temperature between the upper and lower parts of the product, and the uniform temperature distribution were confirmed. In addition, this study compared the area fraction at which the fitting product reached the target temperature through CFD analysis. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the CFD analysis model can be applied for optimizing the shapes, product, and operation environment of the furnace.-
