상호문화역량 교육을 위한 한중탄뎀수업 사례와 효과

Abstract

본 연구는 국제화, 다변화되어가고 있는 우리 사회에서 다른 문화를 가진 사람들과의 의사소통 및 글로벌 협업을 성공적으로 수행하기 위해 반드시 필요한 능력인 상호문화 역량을 향상시키기 위한 상호문화 수업 모형을 개발하여 적용한 후 국내 대학생의 상호문화역량에 어떤 영향을 주는지 살펴보고자 하였으며, 최종적으로 상호문화역량을 향상시키는 교수-학습방안을 마련하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 상호문화 능력 학습의 기회를 제공할 수 있는 교육 프로그램인 ‘탄뎀학습법’을 활용한 한국과 중국 문화 비교 수업을 설계하였으며, 그 효과를 분석하기 위해 해당 수업을 수강한 학습자들을 대상으로 상호문화역량 측정하였다. 분석 결과, 학습자들의 상호문화역량은 사전, 사후 모두 비교적 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 그 중에서도 의사소통 영역과 성찰 영역에서 유의미한 향상을 보였다. 이에 본 연구는 탄뎀학습법을 적용한 한중문화비교수업이 학습자들의 상호문화역량향상에 도움이 될 수 있으며, 그 중에서도 의사소통 능력과 성찰 능력에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 예상한다. 마지막으로 탄뎀학습법을 활용한 수업이 단순히 학습자들의 상호문화 이해와 지식 전달을 넘어서 실천적, 행위적 관점에서 상호문화역량을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램이 될 수 있을 것으로 추측하며, 다양한 상호문화교육 프로그램이 개발되기를 기대한다.

This study aims to develop an intercultural instructional model to improve intercultural competencies, which are essential competencies for successful communication and global collaboration. This study investigated how the students who participated in this class had an effect on their intercultural competence. Through this, we tried to find out what effect it can have on the intercultural competencies of domestic university students. Finally, the purpose is to prepare a teaching-learning plan that improves intercultural competencies. To this end, we designed a class comparing Korean and Chinese cultures using the “tandem learning method”. According to research results, The intercultural competencies of the students who participated in the course, Both pre and post were found to be relatively high. Among them, there was a significant improvement in the areas of communication and reflection. Therefore, this study assumes that the course can be a program that can improve intercultural competencies from a practical and behavioral point of view, We look forward to the development of various intercultural education programs.
