- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to examine the teaching experiences of sports mentoring program for orphanage children using an autoethnography and to understand the experiences and various emotion of researchers. The autoethnography used the naturalistic description of a researcher’s experiences and emotion, self-recall, self-reflection, self-observation, participant observation, research journal, depth interview, and document analysis. The results of the study are as follows. First, who should teach them about the results? An instructor with unbiased and warm tolerance is appropriate. Through various exchange with a child-caring teacher, instructor should search for teaching consensus. Second, how can we teach them about the results? Instructors should teach based on physical activity and cooperative development because healthy peer formation is important. Third, is there a way to heal psychological pain through sports activity? They need a sports program to strengthen mutual trust formation and ties. Furthermore, sports field instructor should understand autonomous atmosphere and their collective culture.
