- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to provide a basis for equestrian coaches to create a consumer-centered lesson method instead of a provider-centered one by exploring how equestrian participants' fun factors affect their exercise engagement and exercise continuation behavior. The subjects of the study were equestrian participants aged 20 and older who practice equestrian sports, and the sample was drawn using convenience sampling. For the survey, the researcher visited four equestrian venues in Gyeonggi-do, and the venues in northern Gyeonggi-do, Jeju-do, and Jeolla-do were mailed to the researcher. Using SPSS ver. 26.0, 200 paper copies of the data were statistically analyzed using frequency analysis, Cronbach's alpha test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis.
The results of this study were as follows: First, there was a positive correlation between fun factor, exercise engagement, and exercise persistence behavior in all factors; second, fun factor had a partially significant effect on exercise engagement; third, exercise engagement had a partially significant effect on exercise persistence behavior. Fourth, the fun factor had a partially significant effect on exercise persistence behavior.
