Abstract
Maximum power transfer efficiency is the most important technical problem of the wireless power systems. As we all know, impedance matching is an effective method to improve power transfer efficiency, but the process of impedance matching is often based on a simplified circuit model, which makes a certain error between the theoretical value and the actual value, thus causing the system to deviate from the highest efficiency point. This paper proposed a maximum efficiency design scheme based on particle swarm optimization. Firstly, the initial parameters of the system are obtained according to impedance matching theory. Then, searching for the maximum efficiency point of the wireless power transfer system by using particle swarm optimization algorithm: by adjusting the parameters of the impedance matching network (buck circuit), the optimal input impedance of the coupling coils and the Class-E power amplifier are searched. Finally, the model of wireless power transfer system is built on the MATLAB/Simulink platform, and the optimization ability of the proposed scheme is obvious. The optimization scheme improves the system efficiency by 0.6%. © 2023 IEEE.
