- Abstract
- The performance as well as network lifetime issues of a multi-level heterogeneous wireless sensor network is examined, which provides periodic data from a sensing field to a remote receiver. The sensors are assumed to be randomly deployed. We study their estimated number of round based on a clustering mechanism with varying parameters including size of the sensing field, distance between sensing field and the base station, compress ratio in multi-level heterogeneous network. We quantify the maximum network lifetime based on our heterogeneous network model.
