- Abstract
- Recently, the development of eco-friendly corrosion inhibitors has attracted a great interest due to ecological and economic reasons. In this context, the use of pharmaceutical compounds (fresh or expired) for corrosion protection of metals and alloys is emerging as an important choice. In this chapter, we will present an overview on the recent application of drugs and expired drugs as green corrosion inhibitors for protection of different metals and alloys. Actual progress and limitations of using these chemical medicines will also be highlighted. © 2022 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
