토픽모델링을 활용한 한국스포츠심리학회지 연구 동향 분석: 최근 20년(2004-2023) 기간을 중심으로

Abstract

목적: 이 연구는 LDA 알고리즘 기반의 토픽모델링 방법을 활용하여 한국스포츠심리학회지(KJSP)의 연구 동향을분석하였다. 구체적으로 (a) 지난 20년간 게재된 KJSP의 주요 토픽과 키워드를 탐색하였고, (b) 연도 구간에 따른토픽의 점유율을 분석하였다. 방법: 분석의 범위는 지난 2004년 제15권 1호부터 2023년 제34권 1호까지 게재된KJSP의 논문 총 801편으로 설정하였다. 해당 논문의 제목을 크롤링(crawling)하여 수집하였고 전처리 작업을 통해 분석 자료를 마련하였다. 수집된 자료는 Coherence Score를 측정하여 총 4개의 토픽으로 분류한 뒤 토픽별 주요 키워드 5개를 추출하였다. 이후 20년을 4개의 구간(1구간 2004∼2009; 2구간 2010∼2014; 3구간 2015∼2019; 4구간 2020∼2023)으로 설정하여 토픽의 점유율을 산출했다. 나아가 연도 구간과 토픽 점유율 간의 상관관계(Spearman’s rho)를 검증하고자 등위상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 결과: 첫째, 지난 20년간 KJSP에 게재된 주요논문 주제는 ‘척도 개발’, ‘스포츠 및 운동심리’, ‘심리기술훈련’, 그리고 ‘운동학습 및 제어’로 나타났다. 둘째, 네가지 토픽은 연도 구간에 따라 다른 점유율을 보여주었다. 그러나 연도 구간과 토픽 점유율에 대한 상관분석 결과는 세 번째 토픽인 ‘심리기술훈련’에서만 통계적으로 유의하였다. 결론: 이 연구는 KJSP에 게재된 지난 20년동안의 연구들이 어떠한 주제들로 수행되어 왔는지, 그리고 시대의 흐름에 따라 점유율이 어떻게 변해 왔는지를분석하였다. 나아가 이 연구는 후속 연구를 위한 방향성을 제시하고 참신한 아이디어 및 패러다임 생성을 촉발하는 계기가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Purpose: This study analyzed the research trends in the Korean Journal of Sport Psychology (KJSP) using topic modeling based on the LDA algorithm. Specifically, (a) the major topics and keywords published in KJSP over the past 20 years were explored, and (b) the topic distribution over the year intervals was analyzed. Methods: The analysis covered a total of 801 articles published in KJSP from Volume 15, Issue 1 in 2004 to Volume 34, Issue 1 in 2023. The titles of these articles were collected through web crawling and prepared for analysis through preprocessing. The collected data were classified into four topics based on Coherence Score, and the top 5 keywords for each topic were extracted. Furthermore, the 20 years were divided into four intervals (1st interval: 2004-2009; 2nd interval: 2010-2014; 3rd interval: 2015-2019; 4th interval: 2020-2023) to calculate the topic distribution. To verify the correlation between the year interval and topic distribution, a correlation analysis using Spearman’s rho was conducted. Results: First, the topics of articles published in KJSP over the past 20 years were identified as ‘scale development,’ ‘sports and exercise psychology,’ ‘psychological skills training,’ and ‘motor learning and control.’ Second, the four topics showed varying distributions over the year intervals. However, the correlation analysis between year intervals and topic distribution was statistically significant only for Topic 3, ‘psychological skills training.’ Conclusion: This study analyzed the research conducted over the past 20 years published in KJSP, examining the topics covered and how the research themes have changed over time. The results of the analysis are expected to provide ideas for subsequent research and contribute to the creation of new paradigms.
