Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the competition content of male athletes who participated in the 2023 World Para Taekwondo Grand Prix held in Paris, France in 2023, and to provide foundational data for the development of Para Taekwondo competition and the improvement of athletes' performance. First, in the -58kg category, round house kicks in scoring frequency were crucial for distinguishing between winners and losers. Second, in the -63kg category, front-leg round house kicks in scoring frequency, along with attempt frequency in attack and defense, played pivotal roles in differentiation. Third, in the -70kg category, round house kicks in scoring frequency, attempt frequency in attack and defense, and scoring frequency in close combat situations were key factors in differentiating outcomes. Fourth, in the -80kg category, attempts such as pushing kicks and fast turning kicks, along with round house kicks in scoring frequency, attempt frequency in attack and defense, and scoring frequency in attack and defense, were vital in distinguishing between winners and losers. Finally, in the +80kg category, front-leg round house kicks in attempt frequency, attempt frequency in attack and defense, and scoring frequency in close combat situations were identified as significant factors in outcome differentiation.
