- Abstract
- In recent years, for economic and ecological purposes, the development of chemical compounds using green approaches has exponentially grown. In corrosion inhibition research, the use of chemical compounds derived from drugs or expired drugs for corrosion protection of metals and alloys is emerging as an important focus in the present research efforts. In this chapter, green corrosion inhibitors derived from chemical medicines used for protection of different metals and alloys were reviewed and discussed. Limitations and prospectives of using chemical medicines were highlighted. © 2022 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
