- Abstract
- This research presents a remote dental surgical robot system for treating dental caries using UDP/IP communication, designed for non-face-to-face surgeries. Advanced robotic technology and efficient network protocols enable precise dental procedures on distant patients. The system ensures realtime, low-latency video transmission with OpenCV for capture, NVIDIA NVENC for encoding, NVIDIA NVDEC for decoding, and FFmpeg for processing. RTP handles data packetization and transmission, while RTCP monitors quality. CUDA Toolkit integration enhances performance, allowing efficient video handling. This innovation addresses the dental professional shortage, removes geographical barriers, and provides timely, high-quality dental care, reducing costs, risks, and travel inconveniences.
