The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of dance programs in out-of-school youth support centers. To this end, the current status of dance programs at eight organizations that operate dance programs nationwide in 222 out-of-school youth support centers was analyzed through data from their websites and interviews with their managers. The data analysis was divided into general status, planning experience, and recommendations for development. First, this study examined the general status of dance programs in out-of-school youth support centers. Specifically, it was divided in to five categories: year, period, session, time, and genre. The results showed that most dance programs took place in 2022, and that most dance programs took place for on day, one session, and two hours. Second, the research explored the experience of planning dance programs for out-of-school youth support centers and recommendations of further development. Firts of all, the background of the program was the high demand of out-of-school youth due to frequent media exposure and the general popularity of street and broadcast dance. Secondly, the limitations of the program process were analyzed through interviews, such as the pressure of out-of-school youth’s fixed time and low control over their regular participation. Finally, in terms of developmental recommendations, the interviews revealed that the rapport-building and activity aspects should be strengthened when out-of-school youth are required to dance in groups or in unison despite their physical limitations. The following conclusions can be drawn from the results of this study. The Center for Out-of-School Youth has recently implemented a short-term pilot program focusing on broadcast dance. While the quantitative data on this trend is limited, it is expected to expand as dance programs are gradually piloted.-
